Mr Ray Mellor a former managing director of Hamilton Watch company, founded CWC (Cabot Watch Company) in 1972 after Hamilton decided to close down all shops in the early 70’s.
Having previous experience in securing British military contracts, Mellor swiftly secured contracts with the British Government issuing chronograph pilots watches to the RAF and the BBC war correspondents, as well as the Royal military.
This 2006 CWC is an excellent British Military issue wristwatch. The design of these watch was laid out in a Ministry of Defence specification, which detailed such things as the colour of the dial and numerals, the case material and dimensions.
The G10 uses the narrow sword hour and minute hands, as well as the railroad minute track wrapping around the dial with lume-filled plots every five minutes.
The CWC G10 is powered by a Quartz ETA-ESA 955.114 movement.
These watches make great everyday pieces - they were designed to be robust and hard wearing.
