Andrew Grima was commissioned By Omega in 1969 to design a collection of watches that would come to be known as the “About Time Collection”. The Collection comprised of 55 watches across two themes, the idea of seeing time through a coloured gemstone and dials free of anything but the hands in order to better intergrade with the rest of the watch design.

During the period of 1960’s and 1970’s, Andrew Grima was regarded as one of the most fashionable, finest jewellery designer and makers of London. Many high members of society, including Queen Elizabeth were amongst the owners of Andrew Grima’s finest jewellery designs.

The “About Time collection” were handmade by Grima and sent to Omega for the addition of a movement.

This 1973-time piece is an absolutely Jewel. The watch has a faceted crystal that resembles the look and feel of a cut gemstone as well as a white gold-plated case and mesh style bracelet. The dial design has a small Omega logo and script as well as DeVille branding subtly at six o’clock and hour markers, leaving most of the talking for the hands to do.

The watch is in fully original with its original crown. The silver dial and hands are in great condition. The integrated mesh-style bracelet design is in excellent condition with almost no sign of wear.   Fitted with an Omega, manual-wound calibre 625 movement, ref:711.1805 the watch is in great working order and keeps good time.

This Omega is in overall excellent condition. The case is strong with very light sign of wear. The white gold plating is in remarkable condition. The "steel back" stamp is clearly visible on the case-back.
