Omega De Ville - Andrew Grima
A stunning timepiece by the legendary Andrew Grima.
Andrew Grima was born in Italy and raised in London UK. His family was artistic and creative in the embroidery designs. Grima developed his design skills and excelled in his craft work, therefore quickly become the foremost modern jewellery designer in the west end of London throughout the 60’s and 70’s. Andrew won several awards for his designs in the jewellery industry and was the only jeweller to win the Duke of Edinburgh Prize for elegant design. Some of his clients were members of the British Royal family including Queen Elizabeth, Princess Margaret, Jacqueline Onassis and many others.
Omega hired Grima in the 60’s and 70’s where he designed a special collection of men’s and ladies’ watches called “About Time”.
The 1970’s Omega De Ville 5110379 features an 18ct yellow gold bracelet and case. The dial is made of an 18ct gold leaf and is fitted with a sapphire crystal cut diamond class. It is a manual winding movement with a Caliber 620.
The timepiece is in like new condition and runs exceptionally well.
