Omega Chronostop was first presented in 1966 as a low budged Seamaster, in contrast to the conventional chronograph which has minutes counter, the shronostop has no sub-dials. It is designed to stop start in intervals less than a minutes.

Here is an example of a magnificent 1968 Omega Chronostop. The clean black dial combined with the orange second hand, housed in a 41mm silver polished case definitely takes you back in time. The timepiece has an inner rotating bezel with the numbers 5 to 55 left to right.

The Chronostop still has the original flat acrylic crystal with the Omega symbol in the middle.

The watch is powered by an omega in-house Cal.865, manual wind movement. Thanks to its simplicity the 865 Cal is highly precise. It keeps excellent time and hold power very well for its age. The watch is in excellent condition and is surely a beauty for a collection.
