Seiko entered the automatic chronograph world with its Seiko’s 6139 in 1969. The Seiko 6139 Pogue acquire its nickname from Pilot Colonel William Pogue.  Colonel Pogue was one of the USAF pilots of the Apollo program in 1966. Colonel Pogue needed a chronograph, as the Speedmaster was not going to be issued until very close to the mission launch. He ended up buying the Seiko 6139 with the yellow dial which in turn was the first automatic chronograph in space.

This time piece dates back to Jan 1974. The Seiko 6139 6002 is in excellent condition. All functions, date, day, time and chrono are perfectly working with a case size of 42mm.
