Very rare Seiko Captain Willard 6105-8110 dating back to Aug 1975. The 6105 was the first Seiko diver to use an asymmetrical case and integrated crown guards which can still be seen in the modern Seiko Professional divers today.
The time piece was featured prominently on the wrist of Martin Sheen's character, Captain Willard, in the seminal 1979 Francis Ford Coppola film, Apocalypse Now.
The Seiko 6105 dive watch was popular in the Vietnam War in the early 1970s as it was favoured for its robust nature and resistance to the harsh environment.
The Seiko 6105 measures 44mm and cams on a rubber dive strap. It is powered by the Seiko calibre 6105B, a 17-jewel self-winding movement.
The case of this Seiko 6105-8110 Diver is in original untouched condition showing honest wear from use. The crystal was recently replaced and is free from any scratches or blemishes. Additionally, the watch retains its original "LOCK" crown and is supplied with an original Seiko rubber dive strap. The matte black dial is in original mint condition. The large lume plots and hands have aged to a matching colour. The bezel retains its factory deep black finish.
